Matelots by W.A. Hoffman5/26/2023 Wow part 2 surpassed the first book and I thought part 1 was pretty impresive. I am greatly looking forward to book four! Each line of the book furthers the story, no fluff here. The growing relationship between Will and Gaston is incredibly written. I've re-read them several times and enjoy them more each time I read them. These books are going on my permanent keep bookshelf. I'm not very good at expressing my opinions on paper so just let me say that I agree with all the five star ratings written about this series of books. Hoffman's style and can't wait to finish to start over.īest series of books that I've read in years! Can Will and Gaston's fragile relationship survive Will's taking a wife, the French, and most of all, Gaston's madness? Meanwhile, the French Brethren of Tortuga blame Gaston, Will's beloved matelot, for the loss of their finest physician and many want his life. The buccaneer Will, once known as the Viscount of Marsdale, libertine, duelist, dilettante, haphazard philanthropist and philosopher, must decide his future in the face of his father's demands that he be a good nobleman's son and marry to produce heirs.
